Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Popular Front of Latvia (PFL), new exposition “Awakening- PFL – Independence” was created. The new exposition is dedicated to the one of the brightest periods in the history of Latvia – the Third Awakening and the role of the Popular Front of Latvia in the regain of Latvia’s independence.
The exposition halls are fashioned in the style of the 1980s and 1990s, reminding of the times when the museum’s building served as headquarters for the Popular Front. The exposition is situated on three floors, and is visually connected with the symbol of the morning star (in Latvian – auseklis) that is stylistically integrated in the museum’s interior and specific design elements. With the help of modern design and technology, visitors can not only get information, but also acquire emotional experience of the events reflected in the exposition. With the help of touch screens, the museum’s visitors can go through various materials from the funds of the Popular Front.
The development and the implementation of the exposition’s project has been realised by the digital design and multimedia company “Dd Studio”.
